Microblading, also known as eyebrow embroidery, is a specialised, manual technique designed to create natural looking hair strokes that are carefully implanted into the dermal layer of the skin. Using a hand held tool composed of ultra fine needles, Stephanie is able to craft crisp, precise lines while minimising trauma to the skin. This method is ideal for achieving realistic, fuller brows with a soft and natural finish.

A lot of Stephanie’s time is spent correcting work produced elsewhere. She strongly advises the existing pigment is no less then 50% faded in colour, otherwise a correction may not be possible. This enables Stephanie to correct your treatment to the best of her ability. If you are not satisfied with your existing treatment(s), please send clear photos via email. This will allow Stephanie to give her best recommendation moving forward.

Due to many day to day factors, including life’s stresses, hair loss is quite a prevalent factor when it comes to the need of Microblading. A large number of Stephanie’s clients have eyebrow hair loss due to medical conditions such as alopecia, various autoimmune diseases, chemotherapy treatment, trichotillomani and other factors such as severe stress, postpartum, menopause, hormonal imbalance and much more. In some cases the hair does not return, so Microblading is a great option to disguise the hair loss, and regain confidence in your appearance. Whatever the reason, Stephanie is here to help you and your eyebrows come back to life.

During your appointment you will be given an aftercare pack, consisting of an aftercare booklet and ointment. Once your appointment is finished an email with clear instructions will follow. This is the most important part of your treatment, and you must adhere to the given instructions. Please ensure when booking your appointment you have left the following 2 weeks free to allow the treatment to heal properly.
Please note: after your first session the colour of the treated area will appear darker and thicker then the desired outcome. The colour will soften from day five and you will lose up to 70% of the pigment by the end of the two weeks. It is completely normal to be left with patches and unevenness this is why it is crucial to complete your treatment with the 8 weeks touch up. This is included in the cost of your treatment.
You must avoid getting the treated area wet for two weeks. This includes avoiding steam from your shower or bath, and other activities such as cooking, ironing, and using the dishwasher.
Please avoid ALL gym activities, saunas, pools, and any outdoor sports.
You must avoid sun exposure for at least 4 weeks post treatment. This includes sunbeds / UV treatments. Factor 50 is advised when exposed to sunlight and tanning.
Apply the ointment as instructed. This varies for each skin type and Stephanie will decide what is best on the day of your appointment.
Around the treated area you will need to avoid eye cream, and any facial products containing retinoids and AHA. Other treatments include chemical peels, lasers, and facials.
If you have a fringe please keep it pinned back to avoid the risk of infection.
Itching is completely normal. Please do not pick or scratch your treatment as you will disturb the healing process, and this could lead to unwanted results and possible scarring.
Your treatment will begin peeling naturally from day five onwards. Do not be alarmed, this is completely normal.
Be very careful when applying make up around the treated area, leaving a small gap will make it easier to remove.
Eyeliner
This treatment allows you to achieve the most from your eyes. Whether you want an eyelash enhancement or something more prominent, this procedure is the ideal method for long-lasting eyeliner, day in day out. Once your treatment is healed your eyeliner will not only define your eyes, but remain totally smudge free, leaving your morning routine much less of a hassle.
The procedure involves a handheld machine, almost like a tattoo pen, where pigment is implanted above or along the lash line. Very fine or thicker eyeliner can be achieved, however it is important for Stephanie to create what she thinks is best suited to your eye shape. Winged eyeliner is a popular choice, however the length of the “wing” has to be appropriate for a day to day look.
Overall this is a great option for those who cannot live without eyeliner, struggle to create symmetry on both eyes, or simply fed up of continuously having to reapply throughout the day. Whether you crave a natural line or a bold enhancement, Stephanie will achieve the ideal look to suit your eyes.

The same as above but the healing period is 1 week only. Please remove lash extensions prior to your appointment. Do not use mascara and wash around the area using a cotton pad or Q tip. Avoid eye drops for at least 72 hrs post treatment. You will be provided with an aftercare pack on the day of your appointment.
Lip Blush
Lip blush is one of the most popular lip treatments as it offers the chance to enhance your lip size and symmetry, without the need for dermal fillers. If you would rather avoid fillers, this procedure is the ideal method to enhance your lips in the most natural way possible. If you already have dermal fillers you must ensure your lips are fully settled before attending your appointment.
Unfortunately most of us will begin to notice our lips loosing their fullness and shape. Stephanie is able to restore and revive fading lips caused by the natural ageing process, smoking, cold sores and even scarring.
The procedure involves a handheld machine, almost like a tattoo pen, where pigment is implanted into the boarder and surface of the lips. A numbing agent is used throughout the procedure.
This treatment will make you fall in love with your lips again. Think about it, you can eat, drink, exercise and even swim without your lipstick coming off.

Dark Lip Neutralization is a process of correcting the color pigmentation for those with cooler or dark-toned lips. The neutralisation process involves lifting the appearance of darker pigmentation to achieve a softer and lighter colour tone. The number of sessions required is based on the desired outcome, and this will be discussed with Stephanie during the clients consultation before hand.This treatment is becoming extremely popular as concealing darker pigmentation with makeup products is time consuming, and very temporary.
If the client desires a permanent lip colour after neutralisation, this will be carried out as Lip Blush, and two sessions will be required to complete treatment.

The same as above but the healing period is 1 week only. The majority of clients are healed within 4 days. You will be provided with a full aftercare pack on the day of your appointment. Apply the aftercare ointment as instructed, this will be more frequent as your lips will feel dry as they heal. Please drink through a straw and avoid hot drinks for 48hrs. For the initial 4 days you will also need to avoid spicy, salty and “messy foods”, its easier to eat foods that can be chopped into small pieces to avoid disturbing the healing process. For clients who are prone to cold sores please take Anti-Viral medication a few days prior to your appointment, and it also helps to carry on with them throughout the healing period. Please consult your GP before doing so if you have not taken this medication before.
Permanent Makeup Laser Removal
Laser removal is a highly effective method for breaking down unwanted pigment within the skin. Using specialised laser technology, pigment particles are targeted and fragmented, allowing the body to naturally eliminate them over time.
Stephanie has trained with leading specialists at “Undo PMU” Laser Removal and brings extensive experience in correcting previous Permanent Makeup. This treatment is suitable for both eyebrows and lips, whether you are looking to fully remove existing pigment or create a clean base for new, more natural results, or for this who simply want to see their natural eyebrows again.
Sessions are spaced approximately 8 weeks apart, depending on the depth and saturation of the pigment. In many cases, once the area has healed, new Permanent Makeup can be performed 8 weeks later.

Lip Blush Removal
Manual Removal
Manual removal is a non laser technique suitable for both brows and lips, designed to gradually lift and soften unwanted pigment. The treatment is performed in a similar way to a Lip Blush procedure, using the same device, but instead of implanting pigment, a specialised removal solution is worked into the skin to draw the existing pigment out through the natural healing process.
This method is more gradual than laser removal and may require a longer treatment journey, however it offers a controlled approach, making it ideal for clients looking to correct previous work that has healed unevenly or above the vermillion boarder. Stephanie will assess your individual case and advise on whether manual or laser removal is the most suitable option for you.
Sessions are spaced approximately 8 weeks apart, depending on the depth and saturation of the pigment. In many cases, once the area has healed, new Permanent Makeup can be performed 8 weeks later.

Are the treatments painful?
Stephanie has a light touch and uses numbing agents to relieve any discomfort you may have throughout the procedure.
Do I need a patch test?
A patch test is not mandatory. If you are concerned about an allergy, your skin type or have a medical concern, it would be advised to have a patch test initially. This falls under ‘Patch test and Consultation’ on the booking system.
Can I have Permanent Makeup if I am pregnant?
No, you cannot undergo Permanent Makeup when you are pregnant.
Do I need to book a consultation?
This is not mandatory however if you wish to have a consultation with Stephanie prior to your appointment you can book this in via the booking portal, under ‘Permanent Makeup Consultation’.
When are new slots released and how do I book in?
New slots are released on the 1st of every month via the booking system. You can find the booking portal on both the website and the Instagram account @sjbrowslondon.
How long is my appointment?
Your appointment will take up to 90 minutes. Touch up appointments are 45-60 minutes long. Please allow extra time to find parking if you are driving to the clinic. Stephanie follows a strict schedule so if you are running late she may not be able to treat you.
Do I need to do anything before my appointment?
One week prior to your appointment you will receive a ‘prep email’ with clear instructions. Please attend with washed hair to leave a minimum of 48 hours before your next hair wash. If you are using retinol based products please ensure the treated area is not peeling, if any peeling has occurred please refrain from using the products beforehand. Please do not fake tan up to 72hrs before your appointment.
Can I have Microblading done even if I have oily skin?
Microblading can still be carried out if you have oily skin and Stephanie will tailor the after-care to your skin type. Please be extra careful when showering to avoid steam and excess moisture.
Will you work over somebody else’s work?
In regards to any corrective work please send Stephanie clear images before booking in. You can do so via email. Ideally the pigment should be as faded as possible, however Stephanie will recommend what she thinks is best going forward.
Will I be sore after my appointment and can I wear make-up?
You can attend your appointment with makeup on. Stephanie will need to wipe around the treated area so the less the better. You may feel some tenderness in the area that has been worked on and redness is common on sensitive skin types. The Eyeliner and Lip Blush treatments can leave the area swollen.
What is the after-care process?
A booklet and ointment will be given to you on the day of your appointment. At the end of the session you will receive an aftercare email with the relevant instructions on how to look after your treatment. You can also find the information on the Aftercare tab above.
What if I need an additional session?
If you require an additional eyebrow top up, this incurs a £50 cover charge. There could be a number of reasons as to why you may need an additional session, including after-care, general skin conditions, or if you would like to enhance your treatment. This is also the same for the eyeliner treatment. For an additional Lip Blush top up, this incurs a £75 cover charge.
What happens to my deposit if I need to cancel my appointment?
You have up to 7 days prior to your appointment to cancel. Any cancellations after this time frame will not be refunded.
How do I book my 8 weeks top up?
This appointment will be manually scheduled by Stephanie on the day of your appointment. Please do not worry about using the booking portal for this.
Can I expose my treatment to the sun?
You must avoid sunny holidays for at least 4 weeks post treatment. Please avoid using sunbeds (indoor tanning). Factor 50 is advised over the treated area when exposed to sunlight in future.
When can I have Botox done?
Please ensure your Botox is fully settled before attending your appointment, whether that is before or after. This differs for the individual but 3 weeks or so is the average timeframe. For best results wait until your treatment is fully healed.
Can I have Lip Blush if I get cold sores?
Yes, however if you are prone to Cold Sores, Lip Blush can trigger an outbreak, so we recommend taking an antiviral such as Aciclovir 5 days before and after your appointment. If you have not taken this medication before, you should contact your GP for advice prior to treatment.
Can I have Lip Blush done, if I have Dermal Fillers?
Yes, you can still have Lip Blush if you’ve had dermal fillers. However, it’s best to allow at least four weeks for the dermal filler to fully settle, before you attend your appointment.
Can I have Dermal Fillers done after I have Lip Blush?
Yes, as long as you wait at least 6 weeks post treatment, you can go ahead and have Dermal Fillers done.
Can I drink alcohol before or after my appointment?
Please avoid alcohol for 24hrs prior to your appointment. You can drink afterwards however alcohol can cause swelling and disrupt the healing process.
If I am breastfeeding can I still have the treatment done?
If you have been breastfeeding for a minimum of 3 months you are able to have treatment done.
What medication must I avoid before my appointment?
Avoid Aspirin or Ibuprofen for at least 48hrs before your appointment. This can make the skin more prone to bruising (please disregard this if you are on Aspirin under your GP’s advice). Do NOT discontinue any medication before consulting your GP first.
